"I think I was reading somewhere that we haven't closed a series out at home in quite some time, we're hoping to do that tonight," said Vogel after the Pacers Tuesday shootaround.
"They're not going to go away. Every possession, offense and defense is going to be important for us," explained a focused Roy Hibbert Tuesday morning. Hibbert usually plays with a great deal of emotion and sometimes feeds off the energy from the crowd, but is not relying on any extra motivation tonight.
"Hopefully some people come out and watch us, but I'm more focused on the game more than the crowd," said Hibbert.
However, the opportunity to celebrate a series clincher at Bankers Life Fieldhouse is not lost on the Pacers head coach or some of the other players.
"It will be huge for them. I think the fans will love it, something they haven't seen in six or seven years (the Pacers advance in the playoffs) It will be great for a lot of us, and just for Indianapolis as a whole. It will be a good win," said Danny Granger after Monday's practice.
"It's going to be an environment like we've not seen for a long time, looking forward to it," said Vogel.
