The art community may soon get its way at Indianapolis International Airport.

Airport officials announced Wednesday that they are reconsidering their plan to remove a three-story sculpture inside the terminal. The original plan would have replaced Chrysalis with a huge digital screen full of advertisements.

City leaders and airport officials met last week to discuss the controversy.

"I would stress that the video wall would have components of art including local and established international artists as well as advertising opportunities. It would support our commitment to our arts program regardless of a decision going forward,” spokesperson Carlo Bertolini said.

Plans to install a video wall in early September still remain. The airport has two weeks to decide where to place the digital screen.
