The Allen County Coroner’s Office found Aliahna Lemmon, 9, died from blunt force trauma and suffocation injuries.
Michael Plummadore, 39, is charged in connection with the death of the girl. Plummadore was watching Lemmon and her two sisters for a week while their mother was sick. He was a neighbor and considered a friend of the family.
In an interview with police, Plumadore admitted that he used a brick to hit Lemmon in the head several times. He said he then carried Lemmon's body to his home and used a hack saw to cut her into pieces.
Plummadore’s murder trial is scheduled to begin on June 18.
