Old enough to vote and still getting an allowance

Living at home, taking out the garbage, and getting a regular allowance. You may think that describes a middle school student, and while it probably does, it also describes nearly 20 percent of adults old enough to vote.

Living at home, taking out the garbage, and getting a regular allowance. You may think that describes a middle school student, and while it probably does, it also describes nearly 20 percent of adults old enough to vote.

According to a new study nearly 1 in 5 adults between 18 and 34 are getting a little help from their parents. A Pew Research study also found that 3 out of 10 adults between 24 and 35 are living at home with their parents.

That's the highest number of live-at-home-grown-children since the 1950's.
