The Girl and Boy Scouts are teaming up to collect food for people in need.

Local scouts will be going door-to-door during the 25th Annual Scouting for Food Drive. They'll be dropping off donations at Kroger grocery stores.

After collection, the food will head to Gleaners Food bank or other food pantries in Central Indiana.

"I’m helping people who don't get enough to eat, and if I was in the situation that they are, I would want someone helping me," said 11-year-old Thomas Jost, Boy Scout.

Kroger customers can also donate pre-priced food bags inside the stores.

The scouting for food drive runs through April 21.
