City of Frankfort to honor fallen Sgt. Jamie Jarboe

The city of Frankfort is planning a memorial service to honor a fallen hero.

Tuesday will mark the one year anniversary since Sgt. Jamie Jarboe was shot by an enemy sniper in an Afghanistan village, paralyzing him from the chest down. He was on his third tour of duty at the time of his injury.

He succumbed to his injuries March 21. The 27-year-old was laid to rest in Topeka, Kansas, March 31.

The memorial will be held at the American Legion from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday.
