Shawn and Amy Cross ordered up some marital bliss, with a side of happily ever after at the White Castle at 86th Street and Michigan Road. The couple, who has been dating for more than seven years, won a contest held by a local radio station.

"We'd been wanting to get married, but never could. So I entered the contest and said, 'Why not. It looks like fun,'" said Amy.
If you crave something out of the ordinary, this wedding had it all. Along with the unique locale, local DJ, The Deuce, became an ordained minister so that he could preside over the nuptials.
"We all joke around and this is a very unique experience. But for this couple, they really are getting married. So for them, it's a big deal," said The Deuce.
Surrounded by friends, family and plenty of sliders, Shawn and Amy became one. With a kiss, a dance, some presents and lots of photos, Shawn and Amy wrote the next chapter in their love story.
"It's been a long time coming," said Amy. "It feels great."
