The condition of a Seymour High School struck by lightning has been upgraded to good condition Friday.

Emily Bobb, a freshman at the school, was transported to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health after lightning hit her during softball practice Thursday evening.

Witnesses said Bobb was hit through the stomach before she fell to the ground.  Teammates said coaches carried the injured player to a dugout where a local chiropractor rushed over to perform CPR before emergency crews arrived.

Three other students, sophomore Kristin George, junior Kelsey Nolting and senior Carlee Westfall, were taken to an area hospital after they complained of headaches.  They were treated and released.
