Purdue Calumet graduate on FBI's "Most Wanted" list

A Purdue University Calumet graduate was named in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s list of its “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.” 

The FBI is searching for 30-year-old Eric Justin Toth, also known as David Bussone, for allegedly producing and possessing child pornography. 

Police said Toth is a former private school teacher and camp counselor. An FBI official said Toth allegedly installed a camera in a bathroom adjacent to his classroom which was used by students.

He is described as a computer “expert” and is said to have the ability to integrate into various socio-economic classes.  Toth attended Cornel University for a year, before transferring to Purdue University Calumet.  At Purdue Calumet, Toth graduated with a degree in education. 

FBI agents believe Toth may advertise online as a tutor or male nanny. 

The investigation into Toth began in June 2008, after pornographic images were discovered on a school camera that was in his possession.   Since then, the FBI has sought Toth but to no prevail.  He is believed to have traveled to Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.  Authorities believe he lived in Arizona in 2009.  He was last seen in a homeless shelter in Phoenix.

Toth is 6’3” and approximately 155 pounds.  He has brown hair, green eyes and a medium complexion.  There is also a mole under his left eye.

The May 2011 raid by U.S. forces in Pakistan which killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden opened up the spot on the Top Ten list which Toth now fills.

"There is no comparison to be made between Toth and bin Laden," said FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jacqueline Maguire told CNN. "Although Eric Toth has not murdered anyone and he is not an international terrorist, that does not mean he isn't dangerous."

The FBI is offering a reward up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of Toth.
