It's nothing new that employers use Facebook to check up on employees or interviewees, but some are now simply asking for applicant’s username and password.
By law employers cannot demand an interviewee give up their personal information on sites like Facebook and Twitter, but it is not stopping them from asking for it.
One applicant who gave up his information says he did it because he needed the job and was worried he wouldn't get it if he didn't.
