Former President Bill Clinton is speaking out against Republican senatorial candidate Richard Mourdock, saying Mourdock’s refusal to compromise on Capitol Hill is "disturbing."
“He said, ‘I am totally against any compromise, our world views are irreconcilable, and we just have to keep fighting ‘til somebody wins it all.’
“And if that were the view of our founding fathers, there would not have been a Constitution, there never would have been a Bill of Rights, the Capitol would never have moved to Washington D.C., the federal government would not have assumed the debts of the colonies from the Revolutionary War, and nothing else would have happened,” said Clinton.
Mourdock soundly defeated long-time Senator Richard Lugar in last week's primary.
Mourdock will face off against Democrat Joe Donnelly in the November election.
