The Indiana Sports Corporation honored the man behind some of the biggest sporting events in Indianapolis Tuesday.
Mark Miles was awarded the 25th Annual Pathfinder Award earlier in downtown Indianapolis.
Miles served as the chairman of the Super Bowl Host Committee. He also served as the president of the host committee of the Pan American Games back in 1987.

Governor Mitch Daniels was on hand for the ceremony and said the honor has been a long time coming for Miles.
“If anything has defined this spectacular advance of the greater Indianapolis community, it is amateur sports and worldwide leadership in that realm.
“If anyone is associated from the Pan American Games at the front end to the book end of the Super Bowl games this year with all that achievement, it's Mark Miles,” said Daniels.
Daniels actually received last year's pathfinder award for his service to Hoosier youth.
