Police are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a motorcyclist Monday.
It happened around 4:50 p.m. near Washington Street and Post Road.
Witnesses said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Washington Street. The driver of a minivan was traveling westbound on Washington Street when it turned onto Post Road.
Police said Tanner Pike, 22, struck the passenger side front door of the minivan.
Pike died at the scene. The 59-year-old minivan driver was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
