Emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident involving a school bus and a pickup truck on the northwest side Wednesday.
The accident occurred near 46th Street and Sylvan Road at approximately 8:25 a.m.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck hit and bus before it flipped over on its side.
The 11 students on the Washington Township school bus were not injured and were transported to school. However, the driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.
“We are glad that no one was hurt in this unfortunate incident,” said Dr. Nikki Woodsoon, superintendent of the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township.
The truck was towed away from the scene. There was no damage to the school bus.
