Security heightened at Perry Meridian due to bathroom bomb threat

School officials intend to prosecute the responsible party

A threat found inside Perry Meridian High School Thursday prompted an increased security presence.

According to a press release from the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township, staff members at Perry Meridian were notified of the threat Wednesday.

The message was written on a girl's bathroom wall and referenced a bomb threat.

School administrators contacted the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and they are investigating the threat, attempting to determine the identity of the responsible person.

In the release, MSD Perry Township said once the individual is identified, they intend to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
