State officials said a ponzi scheme cost alleged victims $1.5 million.

The Secretary of State announced Tuesday that they have frozen the assets of two companies: Plan America and Rykoworks Capital Group.

The Securities Division said they found the companies were using client money to pay for home remodeling, cars, and weddings instead of investing it.

The state is asking any potential victims to contact them.
