Facebook will reveal the latest design of its News Feed feature Thursday at 10 a.m. PDT. The News Feed is one of, if not the most, used feature on the social network. It essentially serves as the homepage for Facebook's website. And since launching in 2006, the News Feed has changed quite a bit.

News Feed launched to an uproar in 2006. Many users felt the new feature that alerted all of their friends to what they were posting on Facebook violated their privacy. They organized protests and threatened boycotts. But Facebook refused to roll back the feature. It did eventually give users more privacy controls.
